How to Write a Good Project Brief When Hiring an Indian Dev Agency

Agencies in India (e.g. Chennai) receive many inquiries. A brief that spells out goals, scope, and constraints gets you better proposals and fewer misunderstandings. It also shows you are serious and saves back-and-forth.

1. Overview – One paragraph: what is the product or project, and what problem does it solve? 2. Goals – What success looks like (e.g. “launch MVP in 12 weeks,” “migrate legacy API”). 3. Scope – Features and screens in simple list or bullets. Call out “in scope” and “out of scope” if helpful. 4.
