A Canadian B2B SaaS company needed a new backend API to support their web and mobile apps. The existing system was hard to extend and lacked clear documentation. They wanted a REST API that could scale with growth and be maintained by their team or ours long term. They chose to outsource the build to our team in Chennai.

Architecture – RESTful API with clear resource naming and versioning. Separation between API layer, business logic, and data access. Designed for horizontal scaling. Stack – Node.js (or similar) with a framework suited to APIs; PostgreSQL for primary data; Redis for caching where needed. Security – Authentication (e.g. JWT or session-based), rate limiting, and input validation. No secrets in code. Documentation – OpenAPI/Swagger so the client’s front-end team and future developers could integrate quickly. Deployment – CI/CD and cloud deployment (e.g. AWS or similar) with staging and production environments.

We aligned on a project brief and milestones. Weekly syncs with the client (Canada timezone) and async updates in between. Fixed scope with clear acceptance criteria so the client had predictable cost and timeline. Handover included docs, runbooks, and optional post-launch support.

The client launched the new API on schedule. Their front-end and mobile teams integrated without blockers. The system has been running in production and scaled with their growth. They continue to use us for feature work and maintenance.
