Scale – One of the largest pools of software developers in the world. Easy to scale teams and find niche skills. Cost – Typically 40–50% lower than US rates for comparable seniority. Rates in Chennai, for example, are competitive. Adoption – Over 60% of Fortune 500 companies have outsourced technology work to India. Mature ecosystem, English widely used in tech, and many agencies used to US/Canada workflows. Trade-off – Timezone overlap with US is limited (e.g. US morning and India evening).
